Tax assessments sent with incorrect payment reference
Read here how you can still pay.
Due to an administrative error, some of our customers have received a tax assessment with an incorrect payment reference number ("betaalkenmerk"). This means that the payment cannot be submitted. Our apologies for this. Below, we explain how to recognise an incorrect payment reference number and how you can still pay.
How do you recognise an incorrect payment reference number?
When transferring the amount, you normally use the payment reference number ("betaalkenmerk") stated on your bill. With this number is incorrect, you will get a message that this payment reference number is incorrect. Have you received an incorrect bill? Please pay via iDeal or state your water authority tax assessment reference number ("aanslagnummer") in the description.
Have you already paid with the wrong payment reference number? No problem, we will correctly process your payment.
