I am not happy with the way my complaint was handled. What can I do?

Are you dissatisfied? Please let us know if you are unhappy with the way we handled your complaint. Your satisfaction is important to us. Tell us why you are dissatisfied so we can look for a solution. Would you like to file a complaint elsewhere? You can do so at the ‘Ombudsman’ (public advocate) of Amsterdam or the National Ombudsman.

You can contact the Ombudsman of Amsterdam about:

  • Your tap water supply, connection or bill
  • (the construction of) the sewer system
  • the management of groundwater.

Please contact the National Ombudsman about:

  • water authority tax 
  • the management of surface water (canals, rivers, ditches and lakes)
  • the management and maintenance of dykes, sluices and bridges
