What is the correct water level in an area? That depends: are there houses, farms or is it a nature reserve? Every 10 years we decide on the correct water levels. We review the supply and drainage of water in an area. We consult the residents. What is the ideal water level for everyone? We then take a decision. This is known as a ‘peilbesluit’.
