What is Waternet doing to remove the contamination?

That depends on the severity of the contamination. Our first step is usually to flush the water mains with clean water. If that is not enough, we may flush the pipes with chlorine to kill the bacteria. If the water is very contaminated, we may temporarily add chlorine to the tap water. We will continue to take water samples to check whether the contamination has been removed.
