I cannot read my water meter - What should I do?

If there is condensation on the glass 

Are you unable to read the water meter because there are water droplets on the glass? Then tap the water meter a few times with the back of a screwdriver or another object. After a few taps you should be able to read the meter. In some cases, you can turn the water meter a little bit to make the droplets disappear. 

If you cannot reach the meter 

Did you get an invitation to take the annual meter reading, but you cannot reach the water meter? For example, if the meter is in a well.? Then you may not be able to report the reading. We will then estimate your meter reading. That's not a problem.: Usually our estimate does not differ much from your actual water use. You will find our estimate of your meter reading on your annual statement.
