Early detection: timely assistance with payment difficulties
Do you live in the municipality of Amsterdam, and are you behind with your payments? We will let the municipality know about this. They will then contact you. You will receive free assistance to get your finances back in order.
Why do we do this?
Debts can cause significant problems. For example, in relationships, work and health. That is why drinking water companies are working together with municipalities, housing associations, energy companies and health insurers.
We have made agreements to report payment arrears on time.
These agreements are set out in the National Agreement on Early Detection of Debt Problems ('Landelijk Covenant Vroegsignalering').
We believe it is important that customers who have payment difficulties receive prompt assistance. This way, we prevent debts from becoming even greater.
Small debts are often easier to settle.
